Is the Law of Attraction All Hype?
The answer to the question is sort of. The law of attraction makes sense and works. The problem is with the marketing. You see, it is but one of the universal laws. The law of attraction involves thinking of what we want as if we have it, living authentically, focusing on what we want rather than things we don’t have etc. ‘Thoughts becomes things’ in other words. But Dr. Umfer, I have read the book and do everything it tells me, yet I still attract toxic people into my life. What’s the deal? The deal is that there are other laws at work as well. You wouldn’t just focus on opening up one chakra would you, knowing they all work in harmony. When one area of the body is blocked, it impacts the rest. The universal laws work in a similar fashion.
There is also the Law of Cause and Effect, the karmic law. Every action has a consequence to restore natural order. “What goes around comes around, you reap what you sow” is the take home message here. And this is a big one. What we do impacts others, and also leads us to the next law.
The Law of Divine Oneness ascertains that everyone is connected to each other, nature, and the universe. Every action impacts someone else. This is why it is so important to think karma here, because the more we try to control things, the more we mess with these universal laws, causing us to not get what we want in life.
The Law of Compensation involves abundance that is provided to us for our good deeds or good karmic energy. This is tangible via finances, gifts, friendships and good luck.
The Law of Vibration refers to how everything in the universe has vibrational frequencies in a spiraling pattern. These vibrations relate to how our thoughts, feelings, each sound and entity has its own vibrational frequency.
The Law of Action involves acting on things we manifest. We must take action on the things we think and dream about, or we get less than desired results.
The Law of Correspondence suggests that things in the physical world correspond to the etheric world. “As above so below” is the take home message here.
The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy indicates that we all have the ability to change our lives and environment. We can all take something negative or ugly and heal and make it beautiful.
The Law of Relativity states that we are all tested via problems, traumas and aggravations to help us work from the light within. Out of the darkness to the light is the idea here. This law helps us put things into perspective, to help us avoid catastrophizing, and help us view hardships as challenges to overcome to make us stronger. It really is all relative.
The Law of Polarity states that everything runs on a continuum. We may be on one end or extreme while we usually need to strive for more balance.
The Law of Rhythm states that everything vibrates and moves to certain rhythms. These rhythms are responsible for cycles, seasons, patterns and phases relating to the divine, God/Goddess (whatever it is for you). The key here is to not sweat the small stuff, and remain focused and not allow the negativity to penetrate you.
The Law of Gender involves the feminine and masculine, yin-yang polarities. These must be balanced within us
The Law of Allowing involves not over-controling everything. Knowing when to pick your battles is the challenge here. When do I push, and when do I shut up and color is the take home message here. Think about a time in your life when things just flowed, and you didn’t have to put much work into it. It was meant to be, and likely happened due to you not overly focusing on it and pushing too hard to control everything by having it happen right then and there.
If you research these laws you will find many more. These are the most noted and most basic concepts to grasp. You can see now whey just following one can cause problems and disappointment. You are probably already thinking you’re doomed, as they are not easy to master. We all have certain laws we have down and some to learn and grow from. So learn to allow- treat others well- give to those who give back-believe you deserve good things- push out negative thoughts as much as you can- remember that we are all connected and must respect each other and nature- and everything we do has an impact, a rippling effect. Sometimes we may never see that effect, and sometimes we get a karmic bitch slap.
